Inspiring ways to be well.

For the past few years I've written the blog Scale Junkie about my ongoing efforts to eat healthy, exercise and lose weight. I've lost and kept off over 50 pounds so far but I have a long journey ahead of me. I've spent a lot of time working on the mental aspects of why I overeat and now that I understand them, the weight is starting to come off again. My weight loss has been slow but steady, its frustrating but I keep trying. Join me on my journey, together we can reach our goals!

I currently live in the Tampa Bay area with my wonderful husband and two dogs. I'm self employed and spend my free time taking metalsmithing classes to improve my jewelery making skills.

Stress is one of the main triggers to cause overeating and lets face it the holiday season has no shortage of stress. We have our expectations as well as the expectations of others and it can all add up to a lot of stress and pressure that makes comforting ourselves with food seem like a good option. Well stop right there! There is no comfort to be found at the mall food court. In my video I share a few of my tips to help avoid giving into food temptations while shopping.

Eating before you go is a great tip! If I'm wanting something I will plan for it! For me a coffee is a good treat! The hot is satisfying and makes me feel full and as you know Peppermint Mocha is in season right now. The peppermint in that helps curb appetite too! :)

Great video!!!
