Easy Monster Spray Recipe

Many people liked the monster spray idea, so here is an easy way to mix up your spray for the next time your kids can't get to sleep. You will need 3 things: (1) an empty spray bottle that has never held chemicals (2) tap water (3) an essential oil of your choice.

If you like to decorate your spray bottle, or have your kids decorate it, go ahead. Make sure you do label it as monster spray and write the ingredients on the bottom of the bottle. Place about 20 drops of essential oil in the bottle. I've used a citrus oil (orange or lemon) and I've also used lavender. Honestly, for the kids, it doesn't matter, but something they can actually smell is good. Fill the rest of the bottle with water, and shake. That's it!

Sometimes we'll say a chant like "Monster monster go away. There's no more monsters here this day" while I spray towards the closet and under the beds. I store the spray on a high up shelf just in case the girls get ideas...
