Hello! My name is Brittany, and I am the writer behind the :Deliciously Healthy Blog. Since Jan-2010, I have lost 40lbs! I started my weight loss journey, because I have a number of health issues, and I decided that I needed to take my health into my own hands. I was diagnosed with Lupus when I was 15, and then diagnosed with RA, when I was 18. A couple years later I was diagnosed with Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome, and low thyroid. That's 4 diagnoses in a 4yr period, if you lost count. I had also gained 76 pounds, in those 4 years. Being 76lbs over weight is unhealthy for anyone, but it was especially unhealthy for me, and my health issues. But now, after having lost 40 pounds, I'm a new, slimmer, and healthier me! This journey of mine is more than me simply wanting to wear skinny jeans. It has been a quest to becoming :Deliciously Healthy, so ALL of my dreams can come true! I'm almost half way there! With each new day, I get closer and closer to my goal of 120lbs, and becoming :Deliciously Healthy

I just uploaded a video talking about menu planning and making a list to avoid those grocery store end cap temptations!
Great job on walking away, avoiding those temptations and winning the grocery store battle!
Brittany, wow, 40 lbs in one year is alot! Congratulations!! It sounds like you've seen your health practitioners regularly (the unfortunate side of those diagnoses) and are aware of the importance of healthy weight loss practices.
The grocery store can definitely be a battleground. The best advice I'd read about that and try to follow is to shop on the outside lanes of the grocery store, where the fresh vegetables, fish, chicken, and dairy are located.
Plus shop with a list when you're not hungry- Good luck!
