Inspiring ways to be well.

I'm a nineteen year old university student on the Canadian Prairies studying human development and kinesiology and applied health. I plan to enter the fields of occupational therapy and asthma education in the future.

I was diagnosed with asthma when I was seventeen, and have had my share of ups and downs living with crazy lungs.

As I've said before, the internet is full of awesome things, including inspiration.

My buddy Steve [who actually doesn't like being called an inspiration, so shh, but apparently I can get away with it ;-). And also, even though he doesn't like it doesn't mean that his awesome doesn't make him an inspiration. Because it does.] is the dude who motivates me all the way from California to get off my butt and do stuff. He has an amazing story of how change for the better can happen even when things look like they really suck--and, if you stick to it, you can do things you never dreamed possible.

You can read more of his story on his website at www.breathinstephen.com
and join the Epic Steve Entourage on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Breathinstephen/162711550409926.

Steve is my motivator--in preparation for that 10K in September he gave me race day tips so I could be a pro on my first legit race, then, as my built-in personal trainer and respiratory therapist followed the race with "Bravissimo ! There's no stopping you now ! // Don't forget to post medicate."

I think the most important thing about a motivator . . .. is that they get where you're at and get where you wanna go. Who's your motivator and what do they do to keep you ready for the fight? . . . whatever that fight may be!
