Inspiring ways to be well.

Location

Salem, MA

I am a 20-something (almost 30..booo) living in Salem, MA. I am a certified work-a-holic who works at a boutique social media/PR agency by day and owns a photo booth rental company by night. I enjoy reading (when I can - books by Chelsea Handler are my favorite), watching TV (via DVR) and meeting people. I am definitely a people person and I often over extend myself to meet new people. I enjoy volunteering and offering my knowledge and skills to help other people.

In the February issue of "Women's Day" Magazine there is an article that talks about being an organ donor. There are more than 100,000 people waiting for an organ of some type. According to the article, on February 14 (or anytime), you can go to http://www.organdonor.gov to download a donation card to keep in your wallet and learn how to join the registry by state. Something to consider and think about for sure! Are you an organ donor or have you receive an organ? Tell us in the comments below!

Thanks for approaching this subject as it can be really uncomfortable to think about one's mortality. I became a donor many years ago when renewing my driver's license and I feel great about it! The gift of donation from one person can give hope to MANY awaiting transplant.

Organ donation also helps the greiving family members. So, you can feel good by being an organ donor yourself, and also by knowing that it may help ease the greiving process for your loved one's. Eye donations can help another to be able to see again. Skin donation is also very important.

Thank you for bringing this to people's attention.
