Holidays With Family
With the holidays upon us it means seeing and spending some quality time with family.
When I was growing up I didn’t have a strong family bond and I always told myself when I had kids it would be different and it is. We live less then 10 minutes from my in-laws and about and hour from my parents, grandparents and Melinda’s grandfather. Melinda watches our one niece so we see her and my sister and brother in law everyday. To me it is important for my three kids to grow up with strong family values.
We try to see my in laws weekly since they are so close. Sometimes they stop by our house and sometimes the kids will go over for the day to hang out or to go to the movies with mom mom and pop pop. Unfortunately we do not get to NJ as much as I would like to see my parents and grandparents due to our schedule but need to make a change for the kids.
My kids LOVE going to see grand mom and pop as well as great grandmom and great grandpop. It is great to see this because I didn’t have this when I was a kid and I feel this will make my kids closer siblings and have great family values when they become adults.
