Try anything at least once! You might be surprised at what you enjoy and/or what you're good at. I started with kayaking, but have since added walking in 5 (now 10) K races, biking, spinning, zip-lining, and orienteering. I'm far from a kid, but feel like a kid when I'm out there moving and challenging myself. It's truly awesome to realize that it's never too late to make changes (even in your late 50s). Old dogs can learn new tricks, and things don't always have to be the way they were. And a former couch potato can become an athlete!

You are so right! It's never too late and I think it sends a great message to your kids (if applicable) that at any point you can change for the better. I may be gone when my kids turn 50 but they will remember I was running half marathons at 50! Way to set an example!
