For the past few years I've written the blog Scale Junkie about my ongoing efforts to eat healthy, exercise and lose weight. I've lost and kept off over 50 pounds so far but I have a long journey ahead of me. I've spent a lot of time working on the mental aspects of why I overeat and now that I understand them, the weight is starting to come off again. My weight loss has been slow but steady, its frustrating but I keep trying. Join me on my journey, together we can reach our goals!
I currently live in the Tampa Bay area with my wonderful husband and two dogs. I'm self employed and spend my free time taking metalsmithing classes to improve my jewelery making skills.

Great tips! Menu planning is so important, when trying to lose weight. Another little tip is to never go grocery shopping hungry! I always make sure I'm nice and full before I go grocery shopping. That helps me to not think that everything looks delicious :D
I have to try these chips! Thanks for sharing the recipe.
What kind of dogs do you have?
Sadie and Max are lab mixes, you can see their picture here if you want http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1620099&l=183b459545&id=1368407213
oh my gosh how cute are they! and what a great background. I really want to get a dog, but living in a condo and working long hours really wouldn't be fair to a pooch. Too bad the market is so bad - I need a backyard stat! :)
The click click click you hear towards the end is the pitter patter of dog paws. I didn't even notice it while the camera was on but when I listened it took me a second to figure out what it was. I almost thought the rain had started again. You can see where I had left the windows open and the back of the soft is a bit darker from being damp. Talking about the kale chips made me want more, there is a batch in the oven as I type!
