Inspiring ways to be well.

Location

Southern Salt Lake County, UT

I'm a 76-year-old guy who has been running for 39 years, and I've had only one injury due to not enough rest after my runs. I was very conservative in planning my runs and thought I had enough rest, but my body needed more. One of the problems with growing old, I guess. My running exploits are documented in my blog, http://oldmanrunning.org/

I ran in MA and NH for 17 years. I'm now living in Utah.

My son recently completed the eight-week OCS and was commissioned and pinned in the National Guard. We drove 12 hours to be there for the ceremony. This was the last class that my son could be in before he would be too old to be commissioned. He worked very hard during the past year and a half to lose weight and pass the taping requirements of the Army. He ran, swam, biked, and lifted weights every day. I'm grateful that he wasn't injured, because he really pushed himself. He has been in the Guard for 12 years and will make a great officer! We're proud of him!
