As a Personal Fitness Coach I have had the pleasure of helping my clients reach their fitness goals for fourteen years. When I designed special programs for my clients that had breast cancer little did I know I would be doing the same exercises myself.

In 2006 when I was diagnosed with stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma I started designing specialty clothing for women undergoing breast cancer surgery and treatment.

To encourage and share information with other breast cancer survivors and their families I began the blog www.breastcancerandfitness@blogspot.com.

When I am not working or spending time with my family I enjoy riding my horse, a 7 year old Morgan gelding Rojo.

Here are two techniques you can use any time to help with relaxation. They are both simple but quite effective.
What help you while you were going through treatment?

Deep breathing excercises really work to relieve tension and stress. Most people don't even know they are carrying this around with them! Check out a free online tutorial @ harvardpilgrim.org->health and wellness->mindfulness in the right hand column. It is a good introduction to meditation/breathing techniques.
