Workout Goals for 2011

So it’s 2011 which means New Year’s resolutions. Typically the #1 resolution is to exercise more or to start exercising.

I typically don’t make resolutions but a goal I set for myself was to start riding my bike at least three times a week. I am a huge cyclist but tend to slack off in the winter due to the weather conditions outside. Last year I got a trainer so I could set my bike up inside and still ride my bike that I ride on the road. To me the benefits of riding my bike on the trainer other then the obvious reasons are my butt stays use to the seat which is huge!

I feel when I ride my bike on the trainer during the winter months I am in better riding shape right out of the gate come spring. I try to ride at least three times a week between 30-60 minutes. After I ride I like to stretch for 15-20 minutes and then do sit ups and pushups.

So my advice is to set manageable goals and if you get off track a little don’t bail on your whole workout plan just try to get back on track the following week.

I didn't even know there WERE trainers you could put your outdoor bike on and ride inside! Love that idea!

My workout goals for 2011 will be to work out with EA Sports Active More Workouts 3 times a week and hopefully get outside that many times for a walk. I'm due to give birth on the 19th so not really a good time to start working out now.. however, as soon as this baby is out I am getting ON it! :)

I have a goal to just be more active. I'm not really setting any goals I just want to make sure I'm moving more.

I really like your idea, i'm tempted to see about doing that for the kids.

Great suggestion. As it gets warmer, I plan on getting out more and playing outside. We bought bikes for our family we we'll be trying to have a lot of outings while getting good exercise at the same time.

These are good ideas…my goals are to get into a routine. I don't have any order to it, so find myself not exercising as a result.
